Things I Did
Information Architecture & Interactive Menu: Implemented a table of contents with internal hyperlinks. Users can now navigate directly to their desired chapter with a single click, eliminating the friction of manually scrolling through dozens of pages.
UI Design & Visual Identity: Created a brand-new cover and back covers utilizing the client's institutional color palette (tones of lavender and warm gold). The illustration and gradient effect evoke the sense of peace and "affective programming" proposed by the book.
Typography & Accessibility: Curated a font pairing that balances the artistic sensitivity required for the cover with the high legibility needed for digital screens (smartphones, tablets, and e-readers).
Pagination & Consistency: Designed a clean, subtle page numbering system to ensure readers easily track their reading progress without visual clutter.
Quality Assurance (UX Writing): Conducted a thorough proofreading and text-wrapping optimization to ensure a fluid reading experience free of cognitive friction.

Design Decisions (Typography & Color Palette)
Color Palette: Brand Alignment & Emotional Connection
The Choice: I strictly adopted the client's institutional color palette, featuring soft lavender tones blended with a warm, golden gradient.
The UX/UI Justification: In digital products, colors evoke emotion and set the mood. Lavender promotes tranquility and mindfulness, which directly aligns with the book's core theme of "affective programming". The warm background gradient was optimized to ensure it feels inviting and soft on the eyes, preventing visual fatigue during long reading sessions.
Typography: Balancing Aesthetics with High Legibility
The Choice: A clean, modern, and highly legible typeface for the body text, paired with a sophisticated, elegant font for headings and the cover.
The UX/UI Justification: Reading on digital screens (especially smartphones) requires careful typographic choices.
The heading typography maintains the artistic, human, and premium feel of the author's brand.
The body typography was chosen specifically for its high readability, optimal x-height, and clean spacing. This reduces cognitive load, allowing readers to smoothly consume the content on any screen size without straining their eyes.
